The above media player is set when you hit play will sound the radio show that played on Nov 11th 2006, Saturday morning at 6:00am. On the Usual Suspects Radio Show. Scott Miller was our host and the show was prerecorded at the "Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf" on the previous night.

Our talk about the Find-A-Driver program is only in the first 15 minutes (which is about 1/4 of the timing bar in the media player)

  • *Notice
  • The Find-A-Driver Program is currently not engaged. Our next phase of our project will be our Registration Drive for drivers to register for free.
  • When planning permits, a 30 day period will be chosen when we will begin to accept driver registrations.
  • Once that is complete we will then have our grand opening and potential riders will be able to use our system.
  • The easy technical definition of our Find-A-Driver program is  an Automated Self-Dispatching System.

That in part, relies on the Honor System for both the driver and their Riders.
  • Easily find a Limo or Taxi driver that fits your particular needs. Even if there is a special needs of a Handicapped van or language request. We will have each.

    Very Important

There are different ways someone can get a ride through our find-a-driver program. Most will probably select the type of vehicle they need based on the number of passengers they are going to take. After entering their current location, a destination is selected or entered. If potential drivers are selected based on language, those drivers will be selected with a text message sent to their cell phone with all the ride information.

When drivers are selected on whether they are in a Handicap or speak a different language other than english, a female driver, or you may have an animal. And will let the drivers know more about the situation they may be picking up. At that point, "The Ten Minute", goal is put to the side and not used. It will be assumed that most drivers are male and not every company suggests taking animals as a standard. As there will need to be a selection for animals. If no selection is made based on gender, anyone can take the ride.

Our plan is to be able to advertise to help our costs and to also ask for donations from the drivers. This is all in the effort to keep the services free. If you would like to consider what we receive from anyone a "Tip", then that would be fine. And will declared as such.

It would definitely help us to do our job better & quicker and pay for web site hosting fees and the multitude of development costs. As we have been 3 years in the development stages with no income from the time dedicated.

The list below is of the fundamental advantages with being a member of the Find-A-Driver program:

Which will consist of the ability to find a driver at any time of day or night.

    • Drivers will not have the issue of multiple calls to multiple companies from far out locations. As drivers from all companies are allowed to register. The client will know that we have strongly suggested to qualify the drivers distance from their location. And to ask the drivers if they are within a ten minute drive or at least a distance that is reasonable for the Rider, to answer any text message calls going out over our system.

    • Drivers can be requested for service from computers in Hotels or from anyplace locally in the valley.
    • Any Concierge or Hotel Guest will find you on this site as long as you keep a current phone number listed with us. You will always be able to be contacted by past clients coming back into town, even if you change your phone number. And you can always block unwanted calls or messages.

    • Be able to receive coupons to your cell phone that can be passed on to your customers/clients of which you can collect a commision for. Click here for the types of different services we would like to be able to get the drivers to be able to collect commisions for. We are in the process of contacting these specific vendors.

    • Only drivers that signup for the Find-A-Driver program will receive the coupon function for free. To use the coupon function without signing up for the Find-A-Driver function, Drivers will be charged $10/month
    • You will be marketed from this site. You control what level and how you want to be marketed, based on available methods.
    • You and any client using this site will always remain capable of being anonymous. And keep in touch!
    • Clients will be able to see for themselves what it legally takes to be a cab driver
    • The Taxi Stand web site is designed to promote the people of the service industry. We also want to provide a place where people who use your services can come in and ask questions directly.

    • Have a means for clients that you have developed a good relationship, plan ahead more carefully and accurately. Such as Bachelor/Bachelorette Parties! Company Parties are the next big one to tackle.
    • Be a member of a site that will Help you raise the bar on tipping standards.
    • Drivers once registered can print receipts with their name (Site Handle) on them, Your handle on this site will be your universal contact point or kind of phone number and give people a way to reach you from anywhere in the world, anytime. A text message will be on your phone until you are ready to look at it. It is an option in the registration process.
    • This site is vigorously promoting this link to be put on as many Las Vegas destinations web sites as possible. Including the convention center, once drivers can become accustomed to using the system.
    • Drivers will have a way to enter their shifts in order to not be included in a select list unless a client just wants to contact you via our system which will be part of our feature to connect people with people.

It will not be optional to give your full name as it must match your T/A Card to be a valid driver. No personal information will be given or sold to the public. It will be up to the individual driver who will decide what personal information that they would like to pass on to anyone interested in them through the Finding a Driver program. Click here for our Privacy Policy

The Find-A-Driver program will include Limo & Taxi. The taxi or limo driver will enter the type of vehicle they normally drive, as that will be part of the selection process a client will choose during a needs assessment for the ride they request. Unfortunately, at this time we are not signing up Limo Drivers. Our funds are limited to be able to stage the process of opening our operations. As my Mentor would say, "Baby Steps". As our funds and manpower are limited, Taxi Drivers will be the first function that will be implemented for the Find-A-Driver program.

Included in the needs request we would like to offer your clients the ability to select a driver that speaks their language and if you drive a handicapped ready vehicle.

In addition, if you notice the article on Jon Barnes, "The Ultimate Taxi." We am fully aware that in Las Vegas or even in other parts of the world, taxi drivers are not allowed to deck out their cabs like Jon has done.

On the other hand, We know of many a cab driver that can play the flute, sing opera at the drop of a hat. Or just plain be entertaining in ways we haven't thought of yet. We would think since we have over 100,000 marriages a year in Las Vegas,
    See the Bigger Picture

that someone would pay additional dollars to have this kind of organization and entertainment in the drive to and from the wedding ceremony. That is just one idea of many.

. And let us know what you think.     Link to the Free Registration for Drivers.

LasVegasGigs.Org has a splash page on the net that will show the standard that will be incorporated throughout the different sites in The Taxi Stand System of sites.

It's primary function is to provide a means for Bands or entertainers to signup and make their desires known as to what kind of music genre is in their skill set . This will allow others looking for the same interests to follow their brand of music or entertainment.

It is a free registration so we are hoping it will catch on. Included in the function of the sites ability to advertise your skills. You will also be able to be notified via cell phone text message when someone is viewing your profile at LasVegasGigs.Org. Just be sure and have your cell phone email address available when you register. They might be calling you about a Gig.

To find out your cell phone email address, send a message to your desktop email and copy and paste into the cell phone email field.

As experienced Taxi Drivers, we know how important it is for our visitors to have alternatives that are not concentrated on the Strip. And a feather in any drivers hat looking for tips to make their day.

It will have a calendar of events and where our various events and entertainers will be hosted. Not only will we be helping the entertainers and drivers, we will also be showcasing places of business that host these events.

Check back once in a while and we will definitely let you know when it is ready.

TaxiBabe.Net TaxiBabe.Net Once all of the modifications we are waiting on to be finished will be open. The site will have Lynn Vicchio will be the operator and moderator. The site will feature a retail side where people can come from each of the sites and sell their wares.

To let you know how far we have come, just click here. Lynn will also be writing articles for us. During the development process Lynn has also experienced a tragic loss. And from that loss she writes to all the drivers out there.

We will also be featuring a video section of Dancers in Las Vegas. the idea was to utilize our site traffic to let people vote of the best dancer. A calendar of events will also assist tracking nights when you work. There are some that are really good and then there are some that are very, very good. if you know what I mean?

And if you really do not know what I mean, this will be a place for you to find out. Dancers will register to display a minimum of a 30 sec video of there dancing skills. And let the voting commence. In order for the girls to cut their costs  of taping excellent video we will allow some degree of advertising from the photographers doing the work. All prototypes will pass inspection. And Lady's if your not getting a discount, please let us know. We'll see if we can help.

NoTipJerks.Com NoTipJerks.Com   is now up and running. As of right now it designed for delivery drivers that deliver food in Las Vegas. It is capable of taking recordings of experiences of the delivery drivers during their runs delivering food and the kinds of tips they make.

We will soon have the programming in place that will allow anyone that receives tips for their work to go in and tell their story.

How often has it been when you have picked up a nice party of 5 or more from the airport (whom incidentally just flew in from the U.K.) on their way to the Excalibur and have two bags of luggage per person. Which is also additional stress from the brown shirts when you take 15 minutes to load all that luggage. And when you finally arrive and the fare is $10.25 on the meter and they hand you a $10 and a $1 and say ever so happily to keep the change, like they are doin' you some kind of great favor and ask for a receipt. We will soon have just the right kind of receipt for these people. Or you might give them one of these NoTipJerk Receipts

The story, "The Last Cowboy" is set in Halifax Canada and has an unbelievable amount of similarities to Las Vegas, We just had to include it in our library. More of a documentary about class observations through the eyes of a taxi driver.

    The Last Cowboy

This next link is a technical document suggests to San Francisco local government to go with split meter system.in which the drivers get 55% of the meter. They are now on a leasing option to drivers. They also suggest for customers to pay 75% of the meter without resetting the meter for each multi-drop client that gets out of your taxi, when it is normally received as one run by most people.
