The Driver Portion of the Find-A-Driver program

To understand how we use the system for riders, look in the next column for the Find-A-Driver program from the riders point of view.

To learn how to use the Find-A-Driver system from the drivers point of view, read on!

Ladies and Gentlemen,

To use this system you must be able to receive and send messages on your cell phone. There are other small systems that are more expensive and that are mobile with internet access. We are not recommending these as it is my belief that it can be done on a cell phone with standard internet access. In order to have your cell phone email address ready for registration, send a message from your cell phone to your desktop email. Come back here and paste that email address in your registration screen. And that's it!

You can get potential rides right to your cell phone.

Potential clients will come into this system and select a destination or a driver based on whatever criteria fulfills their current needs. A text message will appear on your cell phone with their destination/arrival addresses. You must make the decision if you can take the call within ten minutes. And then if you decide to take it, call the customer from that message by using the link to make that call. You do not even have to retype that number to make the call for some phones.

As stated earlier, all we do is connect people with people. A free service to both clients and drivers.

TheTaxiStand.Com or Milestone Services are not a livery or transportation company of any kind. Nor are we affiliated with any livery or transportation company of any kind. We do not make any rules and do not condone drivers altering any city/county local, state, federal laws or statutes of any kind.

Although, we do not make any rules, we believe we can improve the standard of drivers/customer/client relationships in a way that is good for both.

From the riders point of view, our system can relieve current overworked dispatch services by allowing potential personals (for drivers) to use the Internet to find a driver with a vehicle that matches their current needs.

Current dispatch services allow requests for Handicapped Van, a driver with a particular language skill, or even a female driver is often requested. We also do the same in our system.

The advantage of our system over the others is the fact that we allow all drivers from all companies to come in and register. Thereby giving the overall public a greater opportunity to find a ride within ten minutes. Incidentally, this is a goal, and not a rule.

In opening about the next level of using The Taxi Stand system discussion, In talking to several drivers in the time I spent in a cab, many would express the amount of money each of them were making. And in many cases, much of what was said, just didn't add up.

The running theme in most of them, were same set of facts. Made good money, but couldn't afford braces for the young one. Made good money, just couldn't affford that new house or apartment. Had to move in with a friend.

Only a few entrepreneur type individuals had a better vision of what they wanted to do with their life. Some failed and others did not.

We teach the use of our system to be a secondary backup to your primary mode of operating your vehicle.

We know that there will be a short period for everyone to adjust to using their new capability, of using their cell phone.

To encourage drivers to join and learn to use this technology for use in the Find-A-Driver system, we have developed another program that can interface with the drivers in the fulfillment of our Mayor's concept, that the Taxi/Limo Drivers are the Ambassadors of the City.

It has always been the philosophy of the management team at the TaxiStand.Com, that the drivers get paid well for their Ambassador's type of service performed..

One can only beholden the opportunity of such a level of trust. To be able to afford that house, all the stuff that goes with it. Health Insurance and for the car(s), also insurance. Even casual unforeseen incidences of unfortunate financial consequences, can be very costly and keep your children able to go to College.

In order to help fulfill that idea. We came up with a list of the types of businesses we would like to approach that already pay agents commission on sales. It has been deemed appropriate by law that drivers are allowed to receive commissions on non-diversionary suggestions to activities in Las Vegas.

These activities run the gamut in the level of the audiences they can attract. From Horse back riding experiences and tours . There are also dude ranches for children 7-17 yrs old. And can pay a decent commission on all sales. Some possible affiliates can even pay 10% on hotel bookings.

We are attempting to make this a real possibility and would like your support. Click here and check out the list yourself.

  • And Sign our Guestbook and let us know what you really feel.

  • Be a member of a site that will Help you raise the bar on tipping standards.
  • The Membership to join for drivers willing to enter at least 3 days for 4 hours on each day in the Find-A-Driver program. Will receive their Membership for free.
  • Drivers that would like to take advantage of the coupon program only, will be charged a $10/month subscription fee. Amoung the drivers that are willing to learn to use the Find-A-Driver system will receive the coupon program for free.

Riders use the Find-A-Driver program for free. All we ask is that your client/customer tip the drivers handsomely for the service rendered. Especially when the drivers are at the doorstep within the ten to 15 minute range. Which means, this is the incentive for the drives not to take a call that they are unable to make within ten minutes.

We will also have a section on our site that will have a report that will inform drivers of what Zones have had how many rides for each hour of the day. Thereby allowing drivers to fine tune, not only how many messages they are willing to receive on their cell phone per hour. They will also be able to adjust their Zones that they are willing to receive riders from.

Drivers are investigated through the FBI fingerprinting process as a marketing strategy. In these times it is a good idea. We will take the T/A number as verification that We have a fully licensed driver. Remember, we have a privacy agreement with you and will hold to that agreement and not divulge any personal information.

Limo Drivers will have their companies called as our only means of verification for their classification.

All of the driving rules that you normally abide by and follow, are still in place and have not changed by being a member here. That should put more emphasis on that fact that our only service is to connect people with people.

Please continue abide by all the rules of the law and the properties that you service. We do not seek to change any existing rules and regulations that you must normally abide by, either by the state, city, county, or the companies you work for.

We also know that drivers are allowed to take and develop personals. We know that drivers are limited as to the types of marketing that they can do in their vehicles. We would like to be able to do some of that for you. Try clicking this or this as another example. They might look the same, but notice the differences in the wording. These banners will not only be placed on the 5 web sites, we will also be marketing to as many Las Vegas destination web sites as possible.

In general, as we are hoping that you can see that we have spent a lot of money and time to bring this to you, the drivers and their clients. When you are out 10 miles away from the city, wouldn't it be nice to get a ride back?

The above media player is set when you hit play will sound the radio show that played on Nov 11th 2006, Saturday morning at 6:00am On the Usual Suspects Radio Show. Scott Miller was our host and the show was prerecorded at the "Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf on the previous night.

Our talk about the Find-A-Driver program is only in the first 15 minutes (which is about 1/4 of the timing bar in the media player)

    • *Notice
The Find-A-Driver Program is currently not engaged. Our next phase of our project will be our Registration Drive for drivers to register for free. Let your next taxi ride know about our system and the free signup.

When planning permits, a 30 day period will be chosen when and we will begin to accept driver registrations.

Once that is complete we will then have our grand opening and potential riders will be able to use our system.

    • The easy technical definition of our Find-A-Driver program is  an Automated Rider Driven Driver Referral Internet Service. Although, we are not a dispatching service. We do connect people with people in what appears to be a dispatching manner.

That in part, relies on the Honor System for both the driver and their Riders.

    • Easily find a Limo or Taxi driver that fits your particular needs. Even if there is a special needs of a Female Driver, Handicapped Van, language, Taxi, or Limo request. We will have them available.

    • Many places in the world are now allowing local taxi business to pursue strictly Female Drivers for their Taxi's. As a selling point to consumers that feel that they can trust Female Drivers. It is our goal to incorporate TaxiBabe.Net as a service provider into that market. Any Female driver signing up for the Find-A-Driver program will automatically be signed up for TaxiBabe.Net

    • Greater selection of drivers to choose from. As drivers from all companies can sign up. If all the Handicapped Vans are busy in one company, doesn't mean they are busy in all companies.  Our goal would be, that you should no longer need to call multiple companies. And the one closest to you will be the one you choose to be there. Encourage your next driver to signup at The Taxi Stand if you think this is a good idea.

    • Can get in touch with the same driver even if they change their phone number or loose their cell phone. Drivers have the ability to edit their profiles with the new number. All you need to remember is the driver handle on our system and TheTaxiStand.Com.

    • Have the ability to network with service industry personnel. Or even others, in the same line of work from back home.

    • Let other people know what you think of your stay and how your service needs were met while visiting here in the Entertainment Capitol of the World. Which in turn, helps us learn how to provide a better service procedure for you, the individual or group that spends money in Las Vegas and partakes in many of the local services.

    • Networking with the locals can be rewarding when trying to optimize your time or your funds.

    • It is a Free Service to the public and drivers signup for free. An exception of $10/month subscription applies to drivers that opt out of the Find-A-Driver program and use their membership for only the coupon function. Drivers are encouraged to develop personals. Our goal is to connect people with people and provide a communications link to accomplish that.

    • We are not affiliated with any livery business of any kind. Taxi or Limo or hold any license to provide any such service. We are only an Self Automated Rider Driven Internet Service.

TheTaxiStand.Com or Milestone Services are not a livery or transportation company of any kind. Nor are we affiliated with any livery or transportation company of any kind. We do not make any rules and do not condone drivers altering any city/county local, state, federal laws or statutes of any kind.

Our goal with the drivers is creating a means to market their particular skills.

    • Inform the overall Public of issues that drivers are faced with everyday just to do their jobs.

    • The link above is to the Murder Rate of drivers on the job provides information that shows that as many or even more drivers are killed on the job than Police Officers. And Police Officers have guns. Drivers would like you to know. It can be view from both a national or international levels. Sort by locations or states.

    • Create more disposable income for drivers families and serve the public interest as we believe that they can make easier additional income with our system. And allow for the drivers to feel a more apart of a bigger picture. By involving them in our Coupon Program and the clients that represent them.

    • Provide a vehicle or pipeline of information to locals, visitors, drivers and people around the world how the taxi business works in Las Vegas.

All Taxi Drivers would have provided proof of license while joining our free service. As we are aware that all taxi drivers in Las Vegas undergo FBI Finger Printing. We are told, as a result of that, they may also be observed by HomeLand Security.

Limo Drivers must provide a criminal report generated by Metro of Las Vegas and a DMV print out to be presented to the Limo provider that they have chosen to work for.

    We are looking for Writers

We are looking for additional writers that would be interested in coming to write for the TheTaxiStand.Com or NoTipJerks.Com.

When the right people are found, their articles will be posted here on our site.

The types of people that we are looking for will have excellent communication skills and have driven for a taxi company here in Las Vegas for at least a period not shorter than one year.

Writing for NoTipJerks.Com will also take some background in food delivery.

As we are not making any money doing this at this time, this would definitely be a not-for profit exercise.

Areas of interest that we would like to see is someone directly interested in the Las Vegas culture in all of it's various aspects.

We would like to find someone who is willing to do in-depth interviews with dancers, escorts, and entertainers of all kinds. We want as much scoop as possible from the drivers (Limo & Cab Drivers) stories and adventures.

It is hoped that we can broaden our views and network more effectively with everyone in Las Vegas.

One of the primary focal points of the project is to create a more complete profile of life in Las Vegas as compared to other prime destinations points that are used for vacations, conventions, and all around fun.

Las Vegas has just had it's 100th Year Anniversary and it would only seem fair to have more of a comparison of what is happening around the world.

The Livery Business in general is the one of the main contact points for all that visit our City of Entertainment and can shed much light on problems that infect our lives that are different than other cultures in the rest of the world.

The more we know about you, the easier it is to market you. Drop us a line if you want to know more.

The story, "The Last Cowboy" is set in Halifax Canada and has an unbelievable amount of similarities to Las Vegas, I just had to include it in our library. More of a documentary about class observations through the eyes of a taxi driver.

    The Last Cowboy

This next link is a technical document suggests to San Francisco local government to go with split meter system.in which the drivers get 55% of the meter. They are now on a leasing option to drivers. They also suggest for customers to pay 75% of the meter without resetting the meter for each multi-drop client that gets out of your taxi, when it is normally perceived as one run by most people.
